WINTER STORAGE
We at Three Mile Harbor Boat Yard are prepared to winterize and store your boat for the winter season. We have a 40-ton lift and a 10-ton forklift that can handle just about any boat that can float in Three Mile Harbor. We also have a complete staff for all your winterizing needs.
Winterizing of engines, generators, water systems, etc. is done on a time and material basis. We price these items this way because every boat is different and we will be glad to give you an estimate on this work.
At our facility, we maintain a full staff throughout the winter so we can do maintenance, new installations, refinishing, or what ever your needs may be. This lets us get you back in the water early, ready to go.
So if your interested in inside or outside storage at our facility, or if you are taking your boat home or are leaving it in the water and need it winterized, give us a call and we can go over what we can do for you.
All winterizing will be done on a time and materials basis depending on the size and amount of winterizing to be done.
On boats stored inside: All work will be done by Yard personnel only.
On boats stored outside: All work on the outside of the hull from the deck down will be done by Yard personnel only, with the exception of cleaning and waxing of the hull which may be done by the boat owner and his/her immediate family only at a $3.50/ft surcharge. With this option, the boat owner must purchase all materials from the Store at Three Mile Harbor Boat Yard, Inc.
As for bottom painting, all materials will be supplied by the Three Mile Harbor Boat Yard, Inc. Any boat owner supplying his own paint will pay a surcharge of 35% of manufacturer's list price. All paints are subject to NYS DEC regulations.
NO outside mechanics or contractors may work on a boat in the Yard without the express agreement of the Management. All outside contractors must have proof of proper insurance and must agree to pay Three Mile Harbor Boat Yard, Inc. a fee.
It is understood that the Owner will maintain any insurance he deems necessary for the protection of his property and that the THREE MILE HARBOR BOAT YARD, INC. will not be responsible for any losses incurred but at all times will exercise reasonable care in safeguarding the owner's property while in storage.
